Tonight the Celtics lost miserably 94-73 to the San Antonio Spurs. As we usually are, the Celtics were close at halftime and only down by one point, but were demolished in the 3rd quarter and outscored 33-17. Pierce had 18 points, Garnett scored 12 points and Shelden Williams came off the bench with 11 points. Ray Allen decided not to play tonight and went only 2 for 9 from the field. The Spurs’ Manu Ginobili knocked down 28 points, with help from Richard Jefferson with 16 points and George Hill with 15 points. All I can say is that the Celtics really need to start stepping it up in the big games like these if they want to be a big contender in the playoffs that are just around the corner.
